Carry it on your head and you'll look like a fool.
Carry it on your shoulders and you won't be able to go far.
Carry it in your mind and you'll have no space for wisdom and knowledge.
Carry it in your heart and you'll have no one else around you.
You cannot throw it nor can you break it or burn it.
All you can do is do something that is against it. Make it a habit.
And you'll see it leaving you !

Humility is the essence of InService

The Herd Mentality……

An Observation……………..

Saturday nite i saw hundreds of people gathered to fill gas b4 its rise of Rs.5/lt. There were fights, frustration, panic, traffic jams, kids crying, puking and everything that you could term as Negative Vibes. With an almost empty tank i thought to myself.......

If i full my tank (30lts) I'd be saving 30x5=Rs.150.00. To save that 150 i'll have to spend 120 mins of my PRECIOUS time in that Negative Environment. I chose not to and rather scheduled a biz meet that got me a 5 figures profit. On my way back, seeing the same rush still there, I just thought to my self......

Only if people realized how valuable their time was, they'd have all the money they ever wanted. Rs. 150 would have been my savings for 35 liters. I saw bike guys there. The max they would save is 60 to 100 bucks. One movie in PVR costs 1.5 times that money. I could see the biggest challenge with our mindset. We still follow HERD MENTALITY.

Its time to change this. Or it'll be too late for our kids.

Who switched my Alarm Off ?

Part -1

I’ve met many who love sleeping. Me included. Sleeping is such an amazing way to burn calories. Its so peaceful. You are the king. Using our mind we could make an entire army follow our command, have a chocolate factory for real (in my dream), live in that dream home, drive that dream car, have that dream vacation and what not. Its just so amazing. I can have, be, do anything I want. And just when I’m about to enjoy that dream ……….

THE ALARM CLOCK STRUCK !

Some instantly lose it and bang it to silence, some deep asleep take a while to do the same. But a question came to my mind one morning. The morning when I lost it and actually banged my alarm to permanent silence. I was woken up just after 2hrs of sleep that I had after 40hours of work.

I’m guessing it was my heart that asked me - Why did you bang the alarm to death ? It was YOU who bought it. YOU who set it. Why did you bang the clock and not YOURSELF ?

For once I started to think with my heart. I was dead tired working all day yesterday. I knew I was far away from living my dreams with what I was doing. Was frustrated. Everyday I would dream of my dreams that I badly wanted to come true. Sleep was the only place I could see them, feel them, experience them. And then I started to sleep more. This was more COMFORTABLE to do. I was beginning to get very very serious to achieve my dreams. But in my dreams. I was almost on the verge of BELIEVEING that it was not possible to live my dreams in reality. Everything around me had started to make me feel I was just becoming a robot. A robot who has 3 Remote controls. One used by the family to get what they want, one used by the BOSS to get what he wants and one used by the Society to make me who they want me to be.

And just when I thought I had lost complete control over me……….something amazing happened. The pain I was going thru triggered the REAL ALARM.   

THE REAL ALARM

We all come in this world with a objective to achieve. This objective is a mixture of Mental, Physical, Emotional, Financial & Spiritual experience we want to have, that we decide before we come. The REAL ALARM is set at this point of time. For each of the experiences, there has been an alarm set by US/GOD (Considering we are not different from god and have him in every cell of our being, as per the Veda’s.)

Now the job of this ALARM is to go off every time we are going off from our track. Now the question is how does this alarm sound ? and how do I recognize it is for me ?

From the time we are born till the age of 8yrs, it is said that we develop our ‘critical filters’ (a technical term for the filter that helps us decide between the right and the wrong). This filter is shaped mostly by the mindsets of people around us. The way they react to a certain action or situation. Now if you are born among people who have lived an inspired life, either by being an inspiration to others or being inspired, your critical filter will have developed in the way it is supposed to be. The way it would lead you to the fulfillment of your life plan. Behind our filter is our subconscious. The same which is connected to the creator. But, most of us are not lucky to be born in such families. Rather such inspirational families are rare in todays world.   

As kids we all have shared the great things we want to do when we grow up. The number of things starts to reduce with the age picking up. By the time we are 12-14yrs, we fix our eyes on a couple of things out of that list. This is when the world considers us to be a LITTLE matured (Sad but true. Maturity is often considered to be thinking like others do or within the limits of possibility, which is again defined by fellow humans) This is the time when we share our dreams with our friends in school. I’m sure if you remember your best friend from school, you would remember he sharing with you what he/she wanted to become. Our friends are the first and the foremost ALARM for us. It is they who ask us how close we are or how serious we are to becoming what we declared we would.

Most of our friends just ask us once or twice and then based on our ignoring their reminder fade out with time. However, some get a little annoying. They get annoying coz they make  fun of our commitment to what we said we would become and didn’t. It is these annoying friends who live up to their real purpose of being alarms in our life.  And what do we do with such friends ? We ridicule, abuse, call them names and what not. This is when we begin to Snooze our ALARM.

Spend some time reflecting on the above. And do share if you have a point of view……while I prepare the second part of this blog ! There, we’ll look at other ways how we are reminded of our Goals or the Other ALARM.

Why GOD won't give me what I want ?

 

This Blog is an inspiration I got from a book/movie – Conversations With God by Neil Donald Walsch.  A phrase in this book/movie that inspired me to share this story from my life was -

God is always answering your questions. But are you listening ?

Why GOD won't give me what I want ?

This question had become my mantra at one point in my life. If thoughts had an Olympics, this one would have beaten the others hands down for running for years together NON STOP.

So allow me to share my insights on this one  – Why GOD won't give me what I want !

Indian conditions….. How many of us would pull out a 100 buck out of our wallet, when we see a beggar ?  If some of you said “I WOULD” .. my next question – How many times ?   

What if you had millions of property. Had 3 kids. One a useless, 2nd spends their life in serving others live better, is blessed by all and loved by all. 3rd very smart and very intelligent, earns a great income for themselves and their family, but don’t really care much for the others & 2 siblings. Lives a very selfish-Rich life. How would you divide your millions among them ?

When I got this question, I felt like I was being forced into the shoes of Bruce Almighty. My answer was fast and simple. I’d give 70% to the 2nd kid and empower him/her to help more in need, 10% to the good earner and 20% to the useless just to give him more time to realize his true calling. Then there was silence.

I actually cried when I gave this answer. Coz this was the answer even god would give. I always believed god is within. Now I had experienced that. God is answering all the time. Due to the noise with in and noise with out I just could not hear him. When some one is far away you need that person to shout for us to hear. But when that person in with in, its just a Whisper. Can YOU hear the whisper ?

I now understood why I did not have what I wanted. Like a BEGGAR I was just asking but did nothing to create value in the lives of people around me. There is only so little much a beggar gets. Abundance doesn’t always mean tons of money. It means tons of VALUE. Once you create Value you don’t have a choice. you will be weighed in Gold !

Ask yourself this question…… If god gave you an choice between a New birth with a billion or a Reincarnation of Mother Teresa, Edison, Einstein, Mandela, Gandhi. What would you choose ?

My dearest friends, God is answering all our questions. All we need to do is just invest some time with him in SILENCE.  SILENT WITHIN  &  SILENT WITHOUT.  All of the great men whose name I mentioned above have said just one thing. FOLLOW YOUR HEART. That my friend is the voice of GOD !

Now you could do 2 things. Close this window, get back to Facebook or what ever your monitor has to show you…….or……..Close your EYES. And see what GOD has in store for you.

160yrs of Employment v/s 6yrs of Entrepreneurship…..Tough choice ?

 

After starting my new life as a entrepreneur (3+yrs back), I learnt what life actually meant. I realized how tough it was to take decisions and stick by them no matter what. Initially I had a few friends with me but then once they dropped out it was not easy for me to stick around ALONE. The word ALONE, sounds scary in business. Specially when you starting up. More so, if you have a reputation of changing your job like you do with jockey’s (I’m not promoting this brand).

Its tough. Only a few friends who really understood me knew why I changed so many jobs. For you all I now officially disclose the reason. I was in a SEARCHING MODE. Something like searching a time bomb. That’s ticking and I need to find it before its too late. That time bomb was any job that gave me Peace, Contentment, Bliss and LOTS of Money. I then realized that I was looking for an Ostrich (Peace, Contentment, Bliss and LOTS of Money) in the Himalayas (JOB). A lot of friends told me that they found their Ostrich in the Himalayas. That’s what got me to the Himalayas.

They were not wrong. They did find their ostrich. Just that it looked like a miniature version FOR ME. Coz the one I had in mind was a huge one. I was laughed at by 99% of my friends and family for having dreamt of owning a BIG Ostrich. Some even told me they didn’t exist. Or only those born rich were allowed to have it.

I then started my search for those who had the one I wanted. Coz I was sure only they knew where to find it and how to catch it. As ‘The Secret’ says .. you get what you looking for If you are serious about it. I found them. So thrilled I was that I called few friends over to see the  BIG birds !  None turned up. So I went alone. I met the big people who had not one or two but many such big birds. And they lived a life of true abundance. So now my journey started as a seeker. A seeker who had forgotten who he was, what he was. Just there with an empty head to learn.

Understanding oneself………

The first lesson I had to learn was to understand who I was and what I wanted to do in life. Pretty easy right ? … not really. I had to understand who I was according to me. Not according to what people around me felt I was. I had to let go of the prejudice I had started to develop about myself thanks to all the people around. And then I had to re-connect with my dream. MOOKA: my dream project that I started living for but it had started to die slowly. A 100+Cr project (will write about it some other time soon).

Then I had to understand the most important lesson of my life. Yes it’s the topic of this blog. 160yrs v/s 40yrs. So what is this all about ?

160yrs of Employment.

(BB = Big Bird = Ostrich = Dream), (Hims = Himalayas = Job)

This is reality. At least for 96+% of the world (now % reducing fast). The majority feel, to achieve our dreams (catch a BB) we have to go to the Hims.

One generation (grand father) goes there. Spends 40yrs looking for the BB, doesn’t find it. But at the end of 40yrs returning empty handed is against the Male EGO. So, any ways they never shared how big the BB they going for would be, so they get hold of the miniature. And pass on that information to their Kids (Fathers).

Now the fathers also go to the Hims to look for their BB. They too never tell no body the size of their Dream. Remember in those days it was foolish to dream big. We had phrases like ….. Don’t spread your legs more than the size of the sheet….and many more….So, the father too after 40yrs of searching settles for a slightly bigger bird than his father did. The Male ego still rules.

Now the son. He too goes in search of the same BIG BIRD ! And just like his predecessors shrinks his dream to the size ready and available. And then being a little smart doesn't waste time looking for something his last 2 generations didn’t find.

It’s the grandson now. And you guessed it right. Same story in general.

Now, the point my mentors wanted to make to me was this……..

Each of the generations spent 30 to 40 yrs looking for something they believed (faintly) existed. But instead of having a clear cut vision for what they were actually looking for they kept their respective dreams hidden from the rest. Just to avoid to be looked at like a loser. FEAR OF FAILURE. As a result they together spent 120 to 160 yrs in just searching. Each of their BIG MALE EGO’s didn’t allow them to look for people who had what they were looking for and seek their guidance.

Hence the key blocks here are :-

1. Fear of Failure
2. Fear of Rejection.
3. The big fat EGO.
4. The I know it all – Attitude.
just to name a few………….

6yrs of Entrepreneurship.

No body in this world is born a professional. We don’t learn coding from our mothers womb nor do we learn how to build homes from there. Then why is it that we think to be a successful business man we need the business man DNA ?  The most CRIMINAL thing one does when someone wants to start their own enterprise is…

~ Compare him with all those who failed at business. In the family and around. How MORONIC can one be ?  Basic common sense….How can you compare someone who has not even made an attempt to do something that the other he is being compared to has failed at ? Now if you telling me you are analyzing his knowledge with the one who failed the you are a MORON for sure. Let me tell you why ……

In the late 1800’s there were 2 people who were trying to give flight to man. The Wright Bros and there was Samuel Pierpont Langley. The later, had all the greatest minds in Physics and other Sciences, all the politicians of the nations, and a lot of money to back him to give flight to mankind. But we’ve never heard of this gentlemen. WHY ? Coz he FAILED !  Do you know why he failed ? He failed coz the day he got to know that Wright bros were able to be in air for 9+ seconds, HE QUIT.

Now how is it that a person who had everything, the politicians, the minds to hire and the money failed to give flight ?  Simple, He was missing a DRIVE with in as to why he wanted to give flight to mankind.

All it takes for one to be a Successful Entrepreneur is a DRIVE. A DRIVE to be different. A DRIVE to be able to make a difference to peoples lives. A DRIVE to be FREE. A DRIVE to DESERVE THE BEST for oneself and family and generations to come.

If you have this drive, look no further. FIRST contact those around you who are making a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. If you have none then contact me (if you believe I’m doing something that can make this world a better place). To be an entrepreneur all it takes is the below few things…..

1. A DREAM (this is Mandatory. If you don’t have one then let me help you realize one).
2. A DO or DIE attitude to achieve the above.
3. Willingness to Change the way we currently process our thoughts and information.
4. Be a great Student to someone who IS where you want to be.
5. 212% Of commitment. (type “212 degrees” in YouTube and watch the video)

With the above qualities you can for sure make it to the top of the Entrepreneur Charts.

So now to the golden Question……….

160yrs of Employment v/s 6yrs of Entrepreneurship….. ?
