Awakening The Monkey Within…..

story_monkey_jar

Here is a dedication for all those evolved monkeys who got trapped by the hunter while chasing peanuts. The below are few proven techniques as to how you can get out of the hands of the “Madari” (one who makes the monkey do tricks for his living), ONLY IF YOU WANTED TO.
So, enjoy the read and try not to over analyze the methods.

In this blog, I would juggle between the thought process of a monkey and a human so it’d help you to awaken the monkey better.

My usual disclaimer – I’m responsible for what I write and NOT for what you understand. This blog is NOT for those who feel ashamed or offended in being compared to our ancestors – The Monkeys.

The Price…..

Once upon a time, when there was a lack of entertainment, there used to be the madari’s. Who would go catch a monkey and teach it to do great tricks. Jumping thru a ring to tight rope walking. For us, these were amazing tricks. We would get excited when we would hear  the damuru (a percussion instrument used by the madari) and run to our windows and balcony’s. But for an animal as flexible as a monkey, jumping and balancing was an inborn feature. They would anyways be jumping from one branch to the other. Walking on the thin wires/cables that would hang across buildings. So, over a period of time what happened was, the monkey who were free & laughed on their mate being wacked by the madari, now started to feel jealous on the applause it would get from people around. The recognition. The peanuts. Now, the jump thru a ring and the tight rope walk started to be more exciting than their freedom of doing the same ‘without getting wacked’. After all, they are our ancestors Smile. However, considered a menace or useless otherwise, they found it better to be ‘owned’ by a circus or a madari instead and get applauded and rewarded for it. Even at the cost of their FREEDOM.

So, my question is - could we have watched those who got wacked to do something, learn and do it in front of the same audience, without selling our freedom ?  Yeh yeh…I know .. some of you are thinking …who’d hold the ring for you if you did on your own Smile with tongue out . But dear monkey, if you just realized how creative the creation made you, you wouldn’t need a ring to show case your talent. In fact the ring RESTRICTS your talent. The challenge is even before we are able to discover our creative talents we are either deviated/distracted towards the ring or we are told to consider it as a hobby.

So, summing up ….. we all have paid a very heavy price to belong to prestigious circus companies. And we HATE those who remind us of the price we have paid for this temporary recognition and peanuts that we get.
Today it is time that we awaken the monkey within and realize the true potential that lies within. Each of us are capable to showing some amazing tricks that are unique to each of us.

Its time we stopped restricting ourselves and our talent to the value of peanuts. Its time we all came together and create a circus where each of us would be FREE and respected for our unique traits.

The Monkey Economy…..to be continued….
